This week, I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming two wonderful mums and their precious little boy into my studio here in Haverhill, Suffolk for his newborn photography session. From the moment they arrived, it was so clear how deeply in love they were with their tiny bundle – and how ready they were to soak in every moment of this milestone.

As I gently wrapped up their sweet baby, I encouraged the mums to help themselves to drinks from the fridge. One smiled and said, “I love how you’ve got Prosecco and wine in there!” I laughed and replied, “Please help yourself.” Her partner joined in with a cheerful, “Oh yes please, I’d love one!”

And just like that, their newborn session turned into a quiet celebration – one with a chilled glass of Prosecco, the other with a refreshing can of Apple Tango. It was beautiful to watch them settle in, relax, and truly make themselves at home. We chatted about life and parenthood, laughed together, and created memories that went far beyond what the camera lens could capture.

At one point, one of the mums asked, “Are you sure? Do you want me to transfer you some money for it?” I simply smiled and said, “No, please, just enjoy it.”

Because for me, a newborn photoshoot is never just about the photographs. It’s about the entire experience. It’s about feeling welcome, comfortable, and celebrated during one of the most special seasons of life. At Yellow Blossom Photography, I take pride in offering families from Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire a space where they can truly relax, knowing they’re looked after from the very first hello to the final gallery delivery.

In fact, this Saturday one of my lovely returning clients will be joining me for my monthly Pop-In session with her little girl — who just so happens to be celebrating her very first birthday the very next day! I’ve already set aside some fun birthday-ONE props to make their pop in session on Saturday that little bit more special. It’s my little way of showing just how much I value the families who truly appreciate what I offer. So many of my clients return to the studio again and again, cherishing not only the images but also the experience — and for those families, the least I can do is offer a heartfelt thank you for trusting me with such precious memories. 💛 I’m endlessly grateful for every family who walks through my doors, values my work, and chooses to come back time and time again. You are the reason I continue doing what I love, and I’ll never take that for granted. Thank you xxx
