Through Yellow Blossom Photography, I’ve met so many amazing mums - each with a unique feeding journey. During newborn and milestone shoots, conversations often turn to the highs, the struggles, and the quiet, unspoken moments in between.
That’s why I feel so passionate about supporting the amazing work of Haverhill Breastfeeding Friends. By raising awareness and funds, I want every parent to know: you are not alone, and there is support out there.
Haverhill Breastfeeding Friends is a free local support group that provides a safe and welcoming environment for families to connect with one another. Here, parents can access quality, up-to-date breastfeeding support from their dedicated Breastfeeding Counsellors.
They host a welcoming drop-in every Wednesday from 10am to 12pm at the Old Independent Church Hall, Hamlet Rd, Haverhill CB9 8EF creating a nurturing space where experiences and knowledge can be shared.
The demand for their support has grown significantly, and I want to ensure that every family in our community has access to the resources they need during this crucial time. Your generous contributions will directly impact the lives of many families who rely on our services.

While this project will be focused on breastfeeding awareness & support to help raise funds for the Haverhill Breastfeeding Friends Support Group in the lead-up to Breastfeeding Awareness Week in August, it’s important to acknowledge that every feeding journey matters. This isn’t about excluding dads, partners, or parents who bottle-feed - because however you feed your baby, it comes with its own set of challenges. A fed baby is what’s best, and every path - whether breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or combination feeding - deserves understanding, support, and space to be heard.
Why This Matters
There’s real power in shared experience - in hearing someone else speak the words you’ve been too tired, too overwhelmed, or too unsure to say out loud. There’s healing in being seen, in realising that you’re not the only one who’s found this journey harder than expected.
Sometimes, just knowing you’re not alone is enough to lift the weight, even just a little.
